Dogs and Cats with Cancer

I want to help your pet!

I lost Camelot to cancer in 2008. He was an amazing Dane and his loss was devastating to me. I have gone through the horrible experience of having one of my beloved Great Danes die from cancer and I promised myself that I would not have another dog in my care die from cancer again.

For the last 16 years, I have researched ways to prevent and treat cancer using a natural protocol. I have learned and witnessed many amazing stories. I want to share my findings with you.

Many ask me if I charge for this. I do NOT, but I welcome donations since I'm self-funding these studies. All I want in return is to record your pet's story and use it as documentation that I will add to my research project. I learn something from every case I'm involved that I can pass on. Then, one day, I will compile and share these incredible stories and hopefully, many more pet owners will learn that there are supplemental and alternatives to conventional cancer treatments and there are ways to protect your pet from getting cancer.

Please register for my cancer research project to learn more and get help if your pet has cancer.

Private consultation

I do offer a limited number of private consultations for a reasonable price as a part of funding my projects. I offer this in two areas:

  1. Assistance with a treatment plan for dog or cat with cancer. ( My protocol is based on 15 years of research)
  2. Assistance with switching a dog or cat to a raw food diet.

You get a priority level of consultation which includes access to me personally through phone or Skype and a special section on my forum.

Here are some alarming facts.

Over the past few decades, the number of dogs and cats being diagnosed with cancer has become alarmingly high. The awareness and the knowledge of this may partially be attributed to the internet for making such information more transparent and available.

Facts:

  1. 50% of all disease related deaths are caused by cancer. 1
  2. Cancer is the number one cause of death in older pets. 2
  3. Dogs and humans get cancer at about the same rate. 3
  4. Like humans dogs can develop cancer in virtually any part of their bodies. 4

Are we closer to a cure?

After studying cancer in pets for nearly 15 years, I have noticed that conventional cancer prevention and the standard of care treatments have not improved much over the last 50 years. I won't get into much detail but considering the time and money spent on research, you would have hoped for better results by now. Yes, they have managed to prolong the time patients/dogs survive short-term in some types of cancer.  1-3 years after treatments but looking longer term (3-5 years) not much of an improvement has been made. The billions of dollars spent on research are for the most focused on treatments of cancer, not the cause. We need to find the cause! Sadly, pets often die from the side effects of the standard of care as frequently as cancer itself. The cause of cancer and prevention is not receiving enough attention to make a difference. Pets are getting cancer more now than ever before, close to 50% of dogs are battling this awful disease.

My vet told me "Your dog has cancer"

cam-1I lost Camelot I to cancer when he was 8 1/2

I lost Camelot I to cancer when he was 8 ½ and I never want to hear those words again! Having a dog succumb to cancer was a heartbreaking experience. I am determined that no other dog in my care will ever be diagnosed with cancer. The recommendations I provide on this site are based on my research and experience over the past 15 years. I am not a medical professional and I am only sharing knowledge I have gained by observing what works over and over again

Can you reduce the risk of your pet getting cancer?

I believe so, and I'm on a mission to prove it!

After going through the horrible experience of having a pet die from cancer, I have dedicated over the last 16 years hundreds and hundreds of hours researching how I can reduce the risk of cancer in pets. I have tested over 50 natural products and many strategies. There is not a particular program that can protect your pet 100% from ever getting cancer, but what I describe below comes darn close.

I'm not a medical professional. I base my knowledge and my experience gathered from researching cancer in dogs over the last 16 years. I have tried everything I outline here on my pets. Over the years, the risks have yielded only rewards. I know I'm on to something amazing when it comes to preventing cancer in pets. I just need time to prove that it works. Meanwhile, I'm offering you my approach to prevention so you can implement this to protect your pets. It's an entirely natural approach, and it won't hurt your pet. There are no guarantees, and I know you understand that.

Resvantage® - Resveratrol

For the last 16 years, I have researched over a dozen natural products that claim to prevent and treat cancer.

Many know that I'm a believer in another product made from fruit seeds. When used with my protocol, I have seen it lead to amazing results.

Since October 2015, I have focused on and tested resveratrol, another natural product with very promising applications. I have known about resveratrol for several years now, including its many reported benefits. However, issues related to poor bioavailability and sensitivity to oxygen kept me from taking a closer look at it. I do not recommend products I do not trust, and I have always been very careful about this. I must know the source, the manufacturing process (if any) and the level of bioavailability of the product. That is why, out of the dozens of products I have looked into, I only recommend a fraction of them.

resvantage-canine-5mg-canine-2

My view on resveratrol changed after discovering a product called Resvantage®. They utilize a unique technology to prevent oxidation and ensure maximum potency, all by using a patented process by Capsugal® called Lipcaps®. The resveratrol is encapsulated in an oxygen-free, nitrogen-rich environment. It is lab-tested during all phases of the process, ensuring that the active compounds are free of heavy metal toxicity and microbiological contaminants.

Resvantage® is also micronized, which greatly increases its bioavailability, since more of the resveratrol penetrates the blood barrier and ends up in the cells.

In short, Resvantage® may be my new favorite product, and I feel it is time for me to recommend it. I have teamed up with a great company that has made it for dogs, cats and horses. I have engaged in hours of great conversation with the owner and developer, and I'm completely confident that his resveratrol product is the very best and the safest on the market today. That is a strong statement coming from me.

The company also understands my approach, and they see how ketosis is an excellent first 'punch' to the cancer cells, making them weak and vulnerable to cancer-fighting supplements, which in turn promotes apoptosis (the death of cancer cells). In this weakened state, resveratrol may even be more efficient as part of a cancer prevention and treatment protocol. From my experience, I see this as a very promising natural approach to managing cancer.

Be aware that there are impure resveratrol products on the market made from secondary sources. These are inferior when it comes to both potency and bioavailability (the process of reaching the cells), and it took me some time to sort them out and find the right one. Oxygen is resveratrol’s biggest enemy, rendering it worthless very quickly if not kept in an oxygen-free environment.

knot-weed

You may have heard of resveratrol before. It is found in many plants, including grape skin, raspberries, pomegranate, blueberries, pine, raw cacao and giant knotweed.

Resvantage®'s source of resveratrol is the giant knotweed. This is the same source as the pharmaceutical-grade resveratrol used in studies by medical research institutions and universities, including NIH.

In preclinical trials, of which there are over 600 so far in 2016, resveratrol has been shown to possess copious biological functions that could potentially be applied to the prevention and treatment of cancer, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases. The results from these trials are beyond promising. This is the best I have seen from natural products – and with little to no side effects.

Other Possible Health Benefits

Resveratrol has also shown to have other health benefits, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, cardio-protective and neuroprotective properties. It helps support normal metabolic functions and has been shown in studies to counter insulin factors.

Studies show that resveratrol increases the expression of the enzyme SIRT1, which boosts insulin sensitivity and improves mitochondrial function. Combined, these pharmacological effects provide a new and effective way of managing type II diabetes. Resvantage® Canine and Resvantage® Feline are being used clinically to manage diabetes and glycemic seizures.

Resvantage® is also used to help maintain normal brain function in elderly pets.

Resveratrol Studies Related to Possible Cancer Prevention

Some compounds only become carcinogenic after they have been metabolized by phase I biotransformation enzymes such as cytochrome P450 enzymes (1,2). Resveratrol has shown to inhibit the expression of certain P450 enzymes, thereby limiting the activation of procarcinogens. This could potentially prevent cancer.

As a result of damage to the DNA, the cell cycle can be interrupted and disrupt pathways leading to apoptosis (cell death). This damage to the regulation of the cell cycle can result in unregulated cell mutations that contribute to the development of cancer. In other words, cancer cells ignore the signals that would initiate apoptosis in damaged 'healthy' cells. Studies show that this loss of cell cycle arrest can be reinduced by resveratrol in a number of cancer cell lines (3).

Resveratrol has been found to inhibit the invasion of cancerous cells in normal tissue by using matrix metalloproteinases enzymes (4.5).

One essential requirement for rapid cancer cell proliferation is the ability to develop new blood vessels through a process known as angiogenesis. This process, which is vital to cancer cells, has shown to be interrupted by resveratrol in vitro (6,7) and in vivo (8).

Inflammation promotes angiogenesis and cellular proliferation, and it inhibits apoptosis. Inflammatory enzymes, including cyclooxygenases and lipoxygenases, have shown to be inhibited by resveratrol (9, 10).

There is a strong indication that resveratrol inhibits pro-inflammatory transcription factors like NFkB and AP-1 (11, 12).

My Conclusion.

I believe that this product has many applications, some of which have yet to be discovered. I'm excited about this, and I'm giving it to all my pets as a part of my prevention protocol (link).

I have created a category for those who use this product in their own prevention protocol. If you would like to be added to the list, please take part in this study by letting me know. That way I can add your pet to the group.

I highly recommend that you try this. It is a bit expensive, but the cost is negligible compared to other medications, drugs and therapies such as chemo or radiation. If Resvantage® is an alternative to chemo, you will save 10k and avoid poisoning your pet.

You should see a difference in just a few days. If your dog is old and suffers from any joint issues, you will also see a noticeable difference in his or her mobility in just a few days.

Suggested use:

Dogs: 1 capsule for every 30lbs

Cats: 1 capsule daily

If you are giving your pet multiple capsules per day, avoid administering the capsules in a short period of time. For example, for a 60lb dog, administer one capsule in the morning and one in the afternoon or evening.

Disclaimer

Disclaimer: I'm not a medical professional and the advices I provide are based on 18 years of private research and personal experience with raw feeding and different natural remedies for keeping dogs cancer free. I always recommend seeing a professional veterinarian (preferable a holistic) if you suspect any health issues with your pet.

I lost a dog to cancer and I was determined to never let that happen again, which is why I share this information. Too many pets die from cancer and I know it can be prevented in most cases and many lives can be saved.

All I want in return is your story. I'm building an archive of success stories that will hopefully show other pet owners that there is a natural approach to beating and preventing cancer.

If you decide to follow what I suggest, you do this entirely at your own risk.

T.S.

Please Read

Over the last 18 years, I have helped pet owners make the switch to raw food and I’ve helped owners that have pets with cancer to beat the disease using a natural method.

I have built up a reputation and the sheer number of owners that need help has become overwhelming. I'm doing this alone and I'm spending every free minute of my free time helping pets so they can live long, healthy lives; that's my life mission.

Sadly, I have to limit the ones I help. It breaks my heart to do so because I know what a horrible feeling it is to have a pet with cancer – I have been there. I am only able to help the ones that take part in my research project. My research and the documentation of the benefits of raw feeding, plus the many stories about how alternative natural cancer treatments and prevention

A plea for your help!te-6-24-1

I don't like doing this but my love and passion for helping pets are too strong to not ask. I need your help to keep these three one-of-a-kind and very important projects going. Also several have told me: "If you don't ask and share nobody will know. There are many out there that love pets that will support you in your mission to make our pets live longer and reduce the risk of cancer"

  1. The raw feeding project will prove dogs thrive on a carnivore diet. My experience from the first 20 years confirms that I'm on track to fundamentally change how we look at dog food. I just need more time. The goal is to follow 5000 dogs and 2000 cats for 15 more years. The results will produce evidence of amazing health benefits and in many cases a significantly longer lifespan. This will shake the commercial dog food world, and hopefully force the pet food companies to make better food designed for dogs.
  2. The cancer project will prove that the risk for a dog getting cancer is reduced dramatically when fed the right food. The results of feeding dogs the food they are designed for will shatter all current statistics when it comes to cancer incidents in dogs. Raw fed dogs are close to cancer-proof when fed low amounts of carbs and higher amounts of fat and protein.  My study will prove this somewhat incredible statement.
  3. Natural cancer cure project. I have for many years helped pets suffering from cancer recover and beat it using natural products that cost a fraction of traditional treatments and are in almost every case more effective. I'm building a case file of 200 successful cases, cancer-free for more than 3- 5 years after being beating cancer.

Every day I get several requests from devastated pet owners that need help with their beloved dogs suffering from cancer. Unfortunately, I can't help everyone. I just do not have time. Between work, family and taking care of my pets there is not enough time to help them all. This is very unfortunate and extremely upsetting to me. I lost a dog to cancer and I will never forget the emotional suffering and pain involved in watching my dearest friend losing that battle. I understand what you all are going through and in pains me not being able to help more dogs.

With donations, I can take on less work and dedicate more time to my projects that will eventually help millions of pets. I want to share my findings for cancer prevention and natural cures so more pet owners will see that there are other options. The current statistic of close to 70% of dogs getting cancer is unacceptable to me. I'm on a mission to reduce this dramatically.

For 20 years I financed this myself and I have plain and simple run out of funds. I had to take on more work and spend less time on what I have dedicated my life to do: Help pets live longer healthier lives.

If you have any suggestion or ideas on how to raise funds for this project please let me know.
