My partner found Lilly when she was around 12 weeks old late one night in the pouring rain. She was in the middle of nowhere and after reporting her found and no one coming forward to claim her we guess she was dumped. What a horrible experience for her but what an utterly beautiful asset to our lives she is.
Lilly is unvaccinated and first visited the vet when she was spayed at 12 months old. She has had three small lumps removed from her upper lip which turned out to be papilloma virus. Before the histology results came back we feared it was cancer. We were delighted when it came back clear but it was the wake up call i needed to make sure she was as healthy as possible.
Having only just turned 20, my partner working more than full time hours and Lilly being my first dog it was a big step for us but one i am so glad ive taken. I feed a mixture of things including, fruit, veg, coconut oil, eggs, pumpkin seeds, garlic, neutral yoghurt, fish and of course meat, organ and bone.
I changed to raw after seeing how disinterested in her food she was, she was eating very little and started to look a little underweight. I want her to look forward to meal times and see her enjoying a variety of different foods that are species appropriate. She loves raw food and after doing considerable research I decided it was best for us! :)
